Our staff here at Reach Physio Solutions are a multi-faceted bunch and always have many projects on the go. Just recently Squamish physiotherapist Laurie Block went way south of the border, below are some photos of her trip and a brief blurb about what she was doing so far south:
“This August I traveled to Ushuaia Argentina as the team physiotherapist with Canadian Men’s Moguls ski team. Ushuaia lies within the Patagonia region and is the most southern city in the world. This industrial port town caters to national ski teams from around the globe. It was winter there and the conditions were excellent for the two weeks of training. The team uses these camps to develop and refine skills in preparation for the upcoming world cup competition season and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
The competition season begins in December. The next few months of training and injury prevention/rehabilitation are important for these athletes as the countdown for Sochi is on!”
