Reach Clinic Owner
Sue is a Registered Physiotherapist and Certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation practitioner (CGIMS) specializing in treating hip pain, running injuries, TMJ, vestibular disorders as well as thoracic and ribcage pain and stiffness.
A graduate of the University of Alberta, Sue came to Squamish in 1998 while completing her post-graduate studies. In 2004, Sue became the first Squamish physiotherapist to open a clinic focused on one-on-one private care, redefining the patient-therapist relationship in her community. An avid runner, Sue is as comfortable on the trails as she is with her patients, regularly hosting runners’ meet-ups through the local group Squamish Trailheads. She has been voted by the readers of The Chief newspaper, Squamish’s Best Physiotherapist ten times. When she’s not at the clinic, she can be found running or mountain biking on the Squamish trails (rarely without an audiobook!).
Detective, Teacher, Runner, Therapist, Ever-Evolving Entrepreneur
Why I do this
I love putting myself in other people’s shoes. I consider myself a detective when it comes to my patients because I am always looking for clues. I watch very closely and I ask a lot of questions. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear my detective’s hum.
What Makes Me Tick
Runners and the “I want to get back into running” crowd. I love assessing the movement and inhibition of muscles when there is injury, pain or scar tissue. These kinds of things get me really excited. And yes, I’m a bit quirky.
