What we are doing to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 as we reopen
We are reopening to in-person treatments on May 19th, 2020. We’ve adjusted some practices to reflect the “new normal”.
Briefly, here are some details:
What to bring: Your own MASK (although there will be some available for $2 if you need one). Your shorts/tank tops to expose areas to be treated. A credit card if one is not already saved on your online booking account – we are going to contactless payments.
What not to bring: additional people (except an assistant or translator, if required)
Before you arrive: If you have a dry cough, fever, shortness of breath, fatigue or flu-like symptoms, please do not show up at your appointment. We will reschedule your appointment and then we suggest you call 8-1-1 instead for what steps to follow next.
Your cancellation fee will be waived. Please use the bathroom at home if possible, ours is limited to staff unless it’s an emergency, for now.
When to arrive: Arrive close to your appointment time as the door will be locked until 5 minutes before your appointment when your therapist will meet you . You can let your therapist know you are outside by checking in for your appointment using the instructions outside the door. They will go through the COVID Screening questionnaire with you prior to entry in the clinic.
Your therapist will be wearing a mask, eye protection and shirts/gowns that gets changed after each patient. You will be asked to use hand sanitizer as soon as you enter and as you exit.
After your session: We will email you a receipt. Payment will be contactless, preferably with a saved credit card on your Jane account which you can add by logging in to your account beforehand.
Rebooking will be as usual, online, via email, with your therapist or by calling 604-815-9864. We are booking time between appointments to clean and allow patients to safely enter/exit while ensuring social distancing. We will be cleaning all treatment tables and equipment used in session every time a patient leaves. We will be cleaning common areas, electronics, door knobs, light switches etc at least twice a day. Floors will be mopped nightly with separate mop pads for each room to avoid moving germs around from room to room. We use both cleaners and industrial disinfectants throughout the office.
If you are not ready to attend in person, we are still doing virtual/online physiotherapy sessions at this time.
If you have any questions about our processes, please email Susan Shalanski (Owner) at sue_physio@mac.com
